We have come a long way since 1950, when we began our journey in the fashion and textile industry. As a Colombian company in the manufacturing sector, we have been at the forefront of the production of high quality textiles in technologies such as Circular, Raschel and Tricot; at the heart of our commitment is the constant search for the best quality and customer satisfaction.
Our vision for the year 2024 is ambitious, but achievable: we want to be our customers' trusted partner and a benchmark for quality and sustainability in the textile industry, both nationally and internationally. Today, we are proud to stand out for the quality and innovation of our products and processes, while implementing the best social and environmental practices.
At Protela, quality and traceability are essential
It is not only about mapping our supply chain, but also about managing the certifications of our products and processes to demonstrate our environmental, social and human rights practices. This allows us to provide our stakeholders, especially our customers, with accurate and transparent communication.
As part of our continuous improvement strategy, we have certificates in the area of Quality Management System ISO 9001-2015 and Environmental Management System ISO 14001-2015. These processes are audited annually as part of our commitment to excellence.
In 2022, we conducted 19 internal audits under the ISO 9001 standard throughout our entire production chain. This allowed us to identify 16 nonconformities and 27 observations. These findings were addressed in a timely manner by process leaders, following our internal procedures.
Our dedication to quality is unwavering, and our determination to constantly improve is what sets us apart in the textile industry. Currently, we serve more than 900 customers among garment manufacturers, distributors and buyers of finished products such as large national and international retail companies. In order to guarantee the best quality and customer satisfaction, Protela has a network of 219 suppliers responsible for the supply of raw materials, 85% of which are located in the Americas.
