We believe that the key to a greener future lies in how we manage existing resources. For this reason, we launched "Tejiendo Conciencia", an initiative that seeks to give a new life to fabrics that have not been used for reasons of design or color, but that maintain their quality.

Through this campaign, we not only seek to reduce waste, but also to offer creators, entrepreneurs and fashion enthusiasts the opportunity to work with unique and sustainable materials.

Tejiendo Conciencia is more than the reuse of these fabrics; it is an invitation to creativity and innovation. As part of this initiative, Protela and its subsidiary, La Tienda de las Telas, are organizing La Feria de las Telas, a unique space where creators and entrepreneurs will have access to our second chance textiles. This event becomes a platform for materials that were once forgotten to shine again in the hands of those who create with purpose. It is the perfect occasion to find inspiration, take advantage of quality fabrics and give life to projects that reflect responsibility and creativity.

Why is this initiative important? According to the European Parliament, the textile industry, through dyes and finishing products, is responsible for approximately 20% of global drinking water pollution. Reducing waste and reusing existing textiles not only helps mitigate this impact, but also promotes a more circular and eco-friendly consumption model.

At Protela, we are committed to being part of the solution, and we believe this is a significant step in this direction.

We invite you to join this campaign through our social networks and be part of this revolution in fashion. We believe that together, we can give a second chance to these fabrics and build a greener future for all.

Don't miss the opportunity to be part of this change and transform the existing into something extraordinary! Learn about other events and alliances we have made as part of our Weaving Consciousness campaign:

Through his art of creative recycling, designer Alejandro Crocker transformed doilies, spacers and lace into unique and sustainable garments.
