Rethinking the way we manufacture textiles is a fundamental part of our commitment to the environment. At Protela, we believe that sustainability begins with design and is consolidated in every decision we make throughout the production process. That is why we strongly promote the circular economy as a model that not only reduces environmental impact, but also promotes a more resilient and purposeful industry.

During the past year, we took firm steps toward that goal: 15% of our products were developed from recycled materials, allowing once discarded waste to be converted today into high-performance fabrics. Such initiatives demonstrate that quality and aesthetics do not have to be at odds with sustainability; in fact, they can be mutually reinforcing.

In addition, we achieved an 80% utilization rate of waste generated in our production processes. This means that a large part of the waste that previously could have ended up in landfills is now intelligently reincorporated into the production cycle, minimizing its environmental impact and closing the cycle efficiently.

This circular approach represents not only a technical change, but also a cultural one. We have built a collaborative value chain, where our partners, designers and customers are an active part of a new textile paradigm. Because for us, sustainability is not an isolated strategy: it is a way of operating, innovating and understanding our responsibility.

At Protela, we do not believe in passing fads, but in lasting decisions. That is why we continue to focus on the redesign of processes, the conscious use of materials and the creation of textiles that respond to the needs of a modern and demanding consumer. The circular economy is not the future: it is the present that we are building, fiber by fiber.
