The textile industry takes a firm step towards sustainability with the launch of "Soul of the Tropics," the first collaboration under Ecollab by Protela Protela's new circular innovation brand. This initiative marks a milestone in the company's commitment to transform fabrics with a story to tell into high value fashion proposals.into fashion proposals with high aesthetic value and social purpose.
Ecollab by Protela was born as a creative and collaborative space to promote sustainable textile projects, in which materials with unfinished stories -such as second chance fabrics- find a new purpose thanks to the talent of allied designers. In this first chapter, Protela joins forces with designer Marco M. Emiliani, creator of the Anthias brand, to give life to an inspiring and deeply human collection.
"Soul of the Tropics" is a collection that pays tribute to motherhood through silhouettes that exalt femininity with light, soft and elegant fabrics. Each garment combines artistic sensitivity with environmental responsibility, demonstrating that sustainability can also be an engine of aesthetic and technical innovation. The fabrics used retain their texture, fluidity and quality, while representing a tangible solution to textile waste.
"This project represents what we believe is the future of fashion: design with soul, materials with history and a genuine commitment to the planet," noted Protela's innovation team during the launch event.
The official debut of the collection was celebrated in a special evening at the Binn Hotel in Medellin, where designers, strategic allies, opinion leaders and representatives of the fashion and textile sector gathered. More than a product presentation, it was a space to reflect on the new paths that the industry can take: more conscious, collaborative and circular.
"Soul of the Tropics" is just the beginning. With Ecollab, Protela seeks to continue promoting collaborations that give new life to materials, support emerging designers and reinforce the message that sustainable fashion is not only possible, but urgent.
